The T25 model is a brand new addition to Olight's 2008 product lineup. It comes in 2 flavors, Regular and Tactical. Difference between the 2 models are their operating modes, physically they're identical. When Olight initially released their products in 2008, they were the first to introduce a unique hybrid smooth and textured reflector. This time around, they have once again come up with a fresh reflector design. The metal reflector in the T25 has a texture which starts off rough around the bottom, then disperses and becomes more subtle towards the top. The effect of this will be addressed further in the Output section below. Its advertised as using an anti-shattering lens, I'm unable to verify weather its made of glass or plastic. The head on the T25 is noticeably larger than their other models with various machined designs which help with grip when switching modes and levels.
As some of you may have already noticed, the battery tube of the T25 looks strikingly similar to that of the Fenix L2D series. It has has the checkered texture on the top half of the battery tube, but instead of having 2 flat faces machined onto it, the T25 has a third where the clip rests on. The T25 comes with a removable clip which attaches just below the front threading of the battery tube. To remove the clip simply unscrew the narrow textured ring above the clip. The design implemented for the clip was well though out and results in a very securely attached clip while not being a pain to detach. Further down the battery tube, it becomes slightly narrower with lips on either side which provide nice ergonomics for a cigar-type grip. The entire light is coated in Type 3 anodizing which makes if scratch resistant. Finishing is smooth and consistent with no flaws or marks to be found. Threading on all parts are also well cut and smooth, no grinding or squeaking was encountered during tests. The lanyard ring slots in after the tail end threading and is much easier to attach than the one on the NovaTac lights. The tail cap of the T25 Regular houses a forward push button which feel very nice. Switch travel is just nice, not too long nor too short and it provides a very positive tactile feel and muted, low sounding audible feedback. One of the best switches I've used in a flashlight. The tail cap has a band of checkered knurling about 1cm wide. There're no holes on the tail cap for attachments. The only physical difference between the Regular and Tactical versions of the T25 can be found on the lip of the tail cap. The Regular version doesn't have anything on it while the Tactical version has "TACTICAL SPECIAL EDITION" printed on it.
