The Skilhunt Ramble a is a clean looking cylindrical flashlight. It has a stainless steel removable bezel up the front, although it's not designed to be removed in use as it holds the glass lens in place. The Ramble a has a finely textured reflector which is well polished and consistently textured throughout. The LED sits perfectly centered at the bottom of the reflector cup. Externally the head is clean with minimal design elements other than a band of knurling.
The battery tube continues with the same simple cylindrical design with some minor machined design elements running the length of the battery tube. CR123 and protected 16340 batteries fit in the Ramble a without problems. Threading on both ends of the battery tube is somewhat fine but well cut, not exhibiting any signs of cross-threading or grinding. A removable pocket clip attaches to the tail cap, it simply snaps on and off easily. The rear lip of the tail cap is crenellated with the switch cap sitting slightly recessed which allows the light to tail stand without problems. There are also a couple of holes for lanyard attachments as well. The switching mechanism has average tension and travel, producing a very positive tactile feel and audible click when fully engaged.
